June 12 through June 25, 2006, Report No. 11

Oakdale:

Between June 12 and June 25, the Oakdale rotary screw trap sampled 10 out of 14 days. A total of 794 juvenile Chinook salmon were captured between June 12 and June 25, increasing the season total to 54,953 (Figure 1).  Daily catch ranged from eight to 141 Chinook.  Average forklength was 84.4 mm and ranged from 65 mm to 112 mm.  Average weight for captured Chinook was 7.1 g and ranged from 6.5 g to  8.0 g.  No coded-wire tagged (CWT) Chinook were captured during the sampling period.
