Oakdale:
A total of 1,204
juvenile Chinook salmon were captured between March 20 and
April 2, increasing the season total to 44,379 (Figure 1).
Daily catch ranged from 31 to 161 Chinook. Average
forklength was 47.9 mm and ranged from 30 mm to 100 mm.
Average weight for captured Chinook was 2.0 g and ranged
from 0.2 g to 12.1 g.
No O. mykiss
were captured during the sampling period.
No trap efficiency tests were conducted at Oakdale during
the sample period due to low catch numbers.

Caswell:
A total of 135 juvenile
Chinook salmon were captured between March 20 and April 2,
increasing the season total to 590 (Figure 3). Daily catch
ranged from 1 to 32 Chinook. Average forklength was 52.9 mm
and ranged from 32 mm to 100 mm. Average weight for
captured Chinook was 2.6 g and ranged from 0.3 g to 11.4 g.
No O. mykiss
were captured during the sampling period.
No trap efficiency tests were conducted at Caswell during
the sample period due to low catch numbers.

Environmental Data:
Instantaneous water temperature fluctuated between 46.0°F
and 50.3°F at Oakdale and ranged between 48.0°F and 52.3°F
at Caswell. Turbidity ranged from 0.9 NTU to 19.9 NTU at
Oakdale and between 1.9 NTU and 16.3 NTU at Caswell. During
the sampling period, releases from Goodwin Dam (GDW) ranged
between 3,005 cfs and 3,043 cfs. Flows at Orange Blossom
Bridge (OBB; RM 46.9) ranged from 2,940 cfs to 3,467 cfs and
at Ripon (RIP; RM 15.8) from 2,950 cfs to 3,582 cfs. |
