Oakdale:
A total of
548 juvenile Chinook salmon were captured between April 17
and April 30, increasing the
season total to 47,423 (Figure 1). Daily catch ranged from
3 to 231 Chinook. Average forklength was 71.2 mm and
ranged from 31 mm to 104 mm. Average weight for captured
Chinook was 4.3 g and ranged from 2.0 g to 6.2 g.

No
O. mykiss were
captured in the rotary screw trap during this sample
period.
One trap efficiency test was conducted at Oakdale on April
18 with a resulting efficiency of 2.8% (Table 1).

Caswell:
A total of 94
juvenile Chinook salmon were captured between April 17 and
April 30, increasing the season
total to 794 (Figure 2). Daily catch ranged from 0 to

Chinook. Average forklength was 84.3 mm and ranged from
59
mm to 105 mm. Average weight for captured Chinook was
7.0 g
and ranged from 4.7 g to 9.7 g.
One O. mykiss
(217 mm; 91.4 g)
was captured at Caswell on April 17.
No trap efficiency tests were conducted at Caswell during
the sample period due to low catch numbers.

Environmental Data:
Instantaneous
water temperature fluctuated between 49.1°F and 51.5°F at
Oakdale and between 50.0°F and 54.0°F at Caswell.
Turbidity ranged from 1.3 NTU to 2.9 NTU at Oakdale and from
1.8 NTU to 4.7 NTU at Caswell. During the sampling period, releases
from Goodwin Dam (GDW) ranged between 4,756 cfs and 5,548 cfs. Flows at Orange Blossom Bridge (OBB; RM 46.9) ranged
from 4,294 cfs to 5,950 cfs and at Ripon (RIP; RM 15.8) from
3,708 cfs to 5,374 cfs.
