Stanislaus River Weir Update                                                                      November 8, 2004

October 25 through October 31, 2004

Flow at Goodwin Dam increased to 800 cfs by October 25 and remained elevated for 5 days before decreasing to 275 cfs by October 31.  Between October 25 and 31, 2004, a total of 834 Chinook passed the Stanislaus River weir increasing the season total to 1,988. A total of 452 fewer fish have passed the weir this year than in 2003 during the same time period.

We recently obtained a link from Doug Molyneaux (Alaska DFG) to a website containing annual project reports from weir sites in the Kuskokwim Area of Alaska.  The website also contains a companion report to the weir construction manual currently available on our website.  To view these reports visit www.cf.adfg.state.ak.us/region3/pubs/kuskpub.php.
